Book parties are generally terrible, but Jason Parham and Gawker Review of Books threw a rager for Stephen Witt’s How Music Got Free : The End of an Industry, the Turn of the Century, and the Patient Zero of Piracy Thursday of last week. The guys at Freehold hosted us in their new space, Jon Caramanica from The NYTimes joined us (wearing the most fabulous button up shirt ever), and DJ Taiga (The Remixologists) played a set completely composed of illegally downloaded music. My knees still hurt from all of the dancing.
